More on the Yorkshire List

We have now updated the Yorkshire List to include the Pugneys Blyth's Pipit which should be added in your electronic copy after Richard's Pipit.  If you have seen it but not let us know then now is the time to do so. This superb series of photos of it were taken by Mick Hemingway.

Our Yorkshire list has also increased by one due to the accidental omission of Cream-coloured Courser, a fact which was drawn to our attention by Dave Britton. The species occupies a place on the list thanks to one obtained at Holme near Market Weighton in  1828. We doubt if this will make much difference to the current Listers League positions but for those who wish to add it to their master tally it should be inserted after Stone Curlew.

And finally many of you have asked us to clarify the position regarding the 1996 East Yorkshire Lesser White-fronted Goose following comments made in a recent BBRC Report. Dave Britton has looked further into this and his findings are published on this blog and can be viewed by clicking on Recent Decisions. In short we will continue to allow this bird to be counted on the Yorkshire list unless anything changes.
